that’s the name of the street where I found my first studio in Berlin.

thanks to Alex who invited me to share the space with him and his mates.

while cleaning up my hard drive I found the following photos:

Ross, Manu and I did most of the instrumental tracking for Manu Grace’s No Room for Error EP in this environment.

we captured some gnarly drum sounds with our MD421s and the various preamps floating around at the time.

one of my highlights remains the inspired moment in which I decided to clamp a mic to a squeaking and whining drum throne in order to run the output through auto-tune. if you listen closely to ‘Two Weeks’ from the EP you might make it out.
